Everyone’s Asking, How Long Does #COVID19 #Antibodies #Immunity Last?

In recent studies, we have seen declining antibodies in people infected with Covid 19. While this decline in antibodies seems troubling, it is hardly catastrophic according to virologists throughout the world:


"It's not unusual to have fading antibody response after several months. The drop-off isn't that surprising. When you look at something like the smallpox vaccine, you see the antibody response is down about 75 percent after six months. But that's a vaccine that works for decades.

"He's the go-to guy," said Vanessa Neumann, envoy to the UK of Venezuela's US-backed opposition leader Juan Guaidó. "He knows who to call in Iran, who to call in Turkey, how to set up a business in Panama. Not many people have that skillset, or that Rolodex, or that loyalty."

The Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Uprooted Millions

It is estimated that close to 20 million people were forced to leave the African continent enslaved. 

By 1800, this had decimated the African population to half the size it would have been had slavery not occurred. 

Around 40 percent of Africans uprooted in slavery are believed to have come from Angola in Southern Africa, with another 30 percent who came from the Bay of Benin in West Africa.

The numbers taken from database project SlaveVoyages.org indicate the number of Africans disembarking. Many more died on the way because of lack of food and water and horrid conditions aboard the slave ships. Others were uprooted in the trans-Saharan, the red sea and the Indian slave trade, which partly predated the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
